Adaptive Bit-Labeling Design for Probabilistic Shaping Based on Residual Source Redundancy
By using the residual source redundancy to achieve the shaping gain, a joint source-channel coded modulation (JSCCM) system has been proposed as a new solution for probabilistic amplitude shaping (PAS).

Optimization of Probabilistic Shaping for Nonlinear Fiber Channels with Non-Gaussian Noise
Probabilistic constellation shaping is investigated in the context of nonlinear fiber optic communication channels. Based on a general framework, different link types are considered—1. dispersion-managed channels, 2.

Probabilistic Amplitude Shaping to Enhance ARoF Fronthaul Capacity for Mm-Wave 5G/6G Systems
Analog radio-over-fiber (ARoF) technology has proven to be a promising solution to be part of the future millimeter-wave (mm-wave) 5G/6G architecture due to its attractive benefits such as simplified remote antenna units (RAUs), low-power consumption ...

A Nonbinary LDPC-Coded Probabilistic Shaping Scheme for a Rayleigh Fading Channel
In this paper, a novel, nonbinary (NB) LDPC-coded probabilistic shaping (PS) scheme for a Rayleigh fading channel is proposed. For the NB LDPC-coded PS scheme in Rayleigh fading channel, the rotation angle of 16 quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM ...

On Product Codes With Probabilistic Amplitude Shaping for High-Throughput Fiber-Optic Systems [PDF]
Probabilistic amplitude shaping (PAS) can flexibly vary the spectral efficiency (SE) of fiber-optic systems. In this paper, we demonstrate the application of PAS to bit-wise hard decision decoding (HDD) of product codes (PCs) by finding the necessary conditions to select the PC component codes. We show that PAS with PCs and HDD yields gains up to $2.7$

Multicarrier Faster-Than-Nyquist Based on Efficient Implementation and Probabilistic Shaping
The conventional multicarrier faster-than-Nyquist (MFTN) achieves the spectral efficiency (SE) gain by deep compression. However, deep compression leads to severe intersymbol interference (ISI) or intercarrier interference (ICI).
