Single‐cell RNA sequencing reveals an opposite role of SLPI in basal tumors based on metastatic spread, along with shared activation of specific regulons in cancer cells and mature luminal lactocytes, as well as downregulation of MALAT1 and NEAT1 in the latter.

There is an unmet need in metastatic breast cancer patients to monitor therapy response in real time. In this study, we show how a noninvasive and affordable strategy based on sequencing of plasma samples with longitudinal tracking of tumour fraction paired with a statistical model provides valuable information on treatment response in advance of the ...

2D graphical representation of dna sequence based on horizon lines from a probabilistic view
In this study, we propose a new two-dimensional graphical representation of DNA sequence based on a choice of four horizon lines. The 2D representation is constructed in a probabilistic framework.

The efficiency of an algorithm of integer programming: a probabilistic analysis [PDF]
A simple algorithm for solving the knapsack problem is shown to lead to examining, on the average, around e 2 n {e^{2\sqrt n }} vectors out of 2 n {2^n} .

This study develops a semi‐supervised classifier integrating multi‐genomic data (1404 training/5893 validation samples) to improve homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) detection in breast cancer. Our method demonstrates prognostic value and predicts chemotherapy/PARP inhibitor sensitivity in HRD+ tumours.

Reachability and Termination Analysis of Concurrent Quantum Programs
We introduce a Markov chain model of concurrent quantum programs. This model is a quantum generalization of Hart, Sharir and Pnueli's probabilistic concurrent programs.

On rates of convergence in the probabilistic analysis of algorithms [PDF]
Within the last thirty years, the contraction method has become an important tool for the distributional analysis of random recursive structures. While it was mainly developed to show weak convergence, the contraction approach can additionally be used to obtain bounds on the rate of convergence in an appropriate metric.

In patients treated with atezolizumab as a part of the MyPathway (NCT02091141) trial, pre‐treatment ctDNA tumor fraction at high levels was associated with poor outcomes (radiographic response, progression‐free survival, and overall survival) but better sensitivity for blood tumor mutational burden (bTMB).

SEQUENCING OPTICAL IMAGES APPROXIMATED BY HOMOGENEOUS, ONE-DIMENSIONAL POINT RENEWAL PROCESS
The paper describes a mechanism for modeling an optical flow as a random vector field – closed areas on the image plane with certain brightness and dynamics of changes in the vector field.
