Approximation of Mixed-Type Functional Equations in Menger PN-Spaces

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2012
Let X and Y be vector spaces. We show that a function f:X→Y with f(0)=0 satisfies Δf(x1,…,xn)=0 for all x1,…,xn∈X, if and only if there exist functions C:X×X×X→Y, B:X×X→Y and A:X→Y such that f(x)=C(x,x,x)+B(x,x)+A(x) for all x∈X, where the function C is ...

Random Time‐Space Coding Metasurfaces for Spatial Control of the Temporal Statistics of Electromagnetic Fields

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A probabilistic framework based on random time‐space coding metasurfaces enables control of the spatial distribution of electromagnetic fields temporal statistics. By tailoring the marginal and joint distributions of random codes, electromagnetic fields with desired mean and variance patterns are realized, enabling simultaneous transmission and jamming.

Smart Optogenetics for Real‐Time Automated Control of Cardiac Electrical Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We are able to stop dangerous heart‐rhythm spirals before they fully form. Within about 100 ms, it pinpoints the spiral's tiny central tip (≈0.9 mm) using light‐based sensing and machine learning, then shines targeted light to shut it down. This fast, precise, closed‐loop approach detects, targets, and terminates arrhythmias in real time.

$I^K_ν$-Convergence of functions in probabilistic normed spaces

open access: yes, 2023
In this paper we study $I^K$-convergence of functions with respect to probabilistic norm $ν$ which is a generalization of $I^*_ν$-convergence in probabilistic norm spaces. We also study on $I^K$-Cauchy functions and $I^K$-limit points with respect to probabilistic norm $ν$ in the same space.

PAIR: Reconstructing Single‐Cell Open‐Chromatin Landscapes for Transcription Factor Regulome Mapping

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
scATAC‐seq analysis is often constrained by limited sequencing depth, extreme sparsity, and pervasive technical missingness. PAIR is a probabilistic framework that restores scATAC‐seq accessibility profiles by directly modeling the native cell–peak bipartite structure of chromatin accessibility.

Statistical convergence of double sequences on probabilistic normed spaces defined by $[ V, \lambda, \mu ]$-summability

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper, we aim to generalize the notion of statistical convergence for double sequences on probabilistic normed spaces with the help of two nondecreasing sequences of positive real numbers $\lambda=(\lambda_{n})$ and $\mu = (\mu_{n})$  such that ...

Did the Indian Green Revolution Change the Farm Size–Productivity Relationship?

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We examine the relationship between farm size and productivity during India's Green Revolution, a period of rapid technological transformation. Using a unique panel of over 5000 Indian farm households that spans the Green Revolution (1971–1999), we show that the classic (linear) inverse farm size–productivity relationship gradually evolved ...

Generalized Statistical Convergence in Probabilistic Normed Spaces [PDF]

open access: yesThe Open Mathematics Journal, 2008
In this paper we define the concepts of λ-statistical convergence and λ-statistically Cauchy in probabilistic normed space and prove some interesting results. Furthermore, we display an example such that our method of convergence is stronger than the usual convergence in probabilistic normed spaces.

Temperature and Farm Labor in Nigeria

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We estimate the impact of temperature shocks on the composition of farm labor in rural Nigeria using a nationally representative household panel survey. Leveraging plausibly exogenous year‐to‐year variation in growing season temperatures, we find that warmer temperatures significantly alter farm labor composition, prompting a substantial shift

Can outsourcing pest and disease control help reduce pesticide expenditure? Evidence from rice farmers

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
Abstract Outsourcing pest and disease control (PDC) has grown rapidly worldwide, especially in developing countries. Although numerous studies have investigated various advantages of outsourcing PDC, little is known about its impact on pesticide expenditure.
