Continuation of Conditional Probabilities
Theory of Probability & Its Applications, 1961A probability measure $\mu $ on a finite set R is called interior if $\mu (a) > 0$ for any $a \in R$. The set of all interior measures on R is denoted by $W(R)$.Theorem. There exists a mapping$\varphi $ of $W(R)$into Euclidean spaceEof suitable dimension with two properties1. All conditional probabilities\[ \mu (\left.

Probabilities of Conditionals and Conditional Probabilities
The Philosophical Review, 1976Abstract In this paper, the view that probabilities of conditionals are conditional probabilities is rejected on the grounds that there is no satisfactory way of interpreting a conditional connective such that the probabilities of conditionals will equal appropriate conditional probabilities.

Quantum conditional probabilities are not probabilities of quantum conditional
Physics Letters A, 1989It is shown that in any quantum state ϕ the probability of the conditional, ϕ (A→B), is not equal to the conditional probability, ϕ(AB), for some projections A, B in the lattice P(M) of projections of a Neumann algebra M if → is Mittelstaedt's conditional in P(M) and ϕ(AB) is given by a conditional expectation.

Conditional Probabilities and Probabilities Given Knowledge of a Condition
Philosophy of Science, 1983The conditional probability of h given e is commonly claimed to be equal to the probability that h would have if e were learned. Here I contend that this general claim about conditional probabilities is false. I present a counter-example that involves probabilities of probabilities, a second that involves probabilities of possible future actions, and a

The Probability Distribution of Conditional Classification Error
IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, 1980The probability distribution of the error incurred by a classification system on a given data set is derived. It is shown that the distribution is mixed binomial. A method for calculating the mixed binomial distribution recursively is proposed.

Conditional Probabilities and Compounds of Conditionals
The Philosophical Review, 1989Tjrnest Adams (1965, 1975) has advanced a probabilistic acL count of conditionals, according to which the probability of a simple English indicative conditional is the conditional probability of the consequent given the antecedent. The theory describes what English speakers assert and accept with unfailing accuracy, yet the theory has won only limited ...

Kaufmann on the Probabilities of Conditionals
Journal of Philosophical Logic, 2007This discussion responds to \textit{S. Kaufmann}'s claim [J. Philos. Log. 33, No. 6, 583--606 (2004; Zbl 1061.03011)] that in certain cases the probability of a conditional \(A \rightarrow B\) should be different from the associated conditional probability \(\text{Pr}(B| A)\).
