This paper introduces a probability density estimator based on Green's function identities. A density model is constructed under the sole assumption that the probability density is differentiable.

Ca2+‐mediated response to DMSO was investigated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae cells expressing Ca2+‐dependent aequorin. Cell exposure to DMSO induced a cytosolic Ca2+ wave dependent on the integrity of the Cch1/Mid1 channel. Deletion of KCS1 or VIP1 genes encoding the phosphoinositol pyrophosphate (PP‐IP) synthases suppressed the DMSO‐induced Ca2 ...

Applying the Moment Generating Functions to the Study of Probability Distributions [PDF]
In this paper, we describe a tool to aid in proving theorems about random variables, called the moment generating function, which converts problems about probabilities and expectations into problems from calculus about function values and derivates.

The difference between two random mixed quantum states: exact and asymptotic spectral analysis
We investigate the spectral statistics of the difference of two density matrices, each of which is independently obtained by partially tracing a random bipartite pure quantum state.

PROBABILITY DENSITY FUNCTIONS OF BREAKING WAVES
Waves in the surf zone are a highly nonlinear process which is evident by the appearance of secondary waves. The secondary waves appear as strong peaks in the period PDFs corresponding to the first harmonic of the peak of the wave spectrum. The strong first harmonic period peak is also reflected in the highly correlated height and velocity PDFs. Due to

Mitochondria contain two mitoribosome rescue factors, ICT1 and MTRFR (C12orf65). ICT1 also functions as a mitoribosomal protein in mice and humans, and its loss is lethal. Although Mtrfr knockout mice could not be generated, knockout zebrafish lines for ict1 and mtrfr were established.

20 Hz mechanical vibration induced A431 cancer cells' apoptosis without such effect on other healthy cell lines of L929 and C2C12. Lowered glucose consumption is observed specifically in A431. The expressions of ROS, HMGB1, and HSP1 levels initially increase and subsequently decrease in the cancer cell line, as opposed to L929 and C2C12, which ...
