Survival Outcomes in Older Adults With Axial Spondyloarthritis and Concomitant Cancer
Objective The objective of this study was to determine survival outcomes in older adults with axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) and concomitant cancer. Methods We conducted a population‐based study using Medicare claims data linked to Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results data to determine overall survival (OS) and cancer‐specific survival (CSS) in

Objective Bayesian Search of Gaussian DAG Models with Non-local Priors [PDF]
Directed Acyclic Graphical (DAG) models are increasingly employed in the study of physical and biological systems, where directed edges between vertices are used to model direct influences between variables.

A Workflow to Accelerate Microstructure‐Sensitive Fatigue Life Predictions
This study introduces a workflow to accelerate predictions of microstructure‐sensitive fatigue life. Results from frameworks with varying levels of simplification are benchmarked against published reference results. The analysis reveals a trade‐off between accuracy and model complexity, offering researchers a practical guide for selecting the optimal ...

Non-subjective priors for wrapped Cauchy distributions
Circular data can arise from many sources, such as image processing, protein structure, and geological data, just to name a few. Wrapped stable family of distributions constitute one of the most widely used class of distributions for the analysis of such

Postbuild annealing systematically modifies the phase fractions and morphology of EB‐PBF processed Mo–9Si–8B. Quantitative microstructure–property correlations reveal how controlled phase evolution enhances high‐temperature compressive strength and creep resistance.

In Bayesian statistics, the selection of noninformative priors is a crucial issue. There have been various discussions on theoretical justification, problems with the Jeffreys prior, and alternative objective priors. Among them, we focus on two types of matching priors consistent with frequentist theory: the probability matching priors and the moment ...

This article investigates the dependence of the properties on the manufacturing orientation in the form of the inclination angle to the build plate of LPBF‐fabricated NiTi rods with a diameter of 150–220 µm. Metallographic, chemical, thermal, and mechanical characterization show behavior under identical manufacturing conditions that ranges from ...

A Novel Approach to Estimate the Transition Temperature via Dynamic Nanoindentation
A new dynamic nanoindentation‐based method was developed that uses the stiffness ratio as an indicator of the elastic–plastic deformation contributions at different temperatures. The approach successfully identified transition temperatures in ferritic steel and distinguished them from continuously ductile austenitic steel.

For the general multiparameter case, we consider the problem of ensuring frequentist validity of highest posterior density regions with margin of error o(n-1), where n is the sample size.
