Abstract Mortality, changes in blood osmolality, and pO2 in the goldlined seabream (Rhabdosargus sarba) on exposure to a subbloom concentration (2,000 cells/ml) of a toxic red tide alga, Chattonella marina, were investigated and related to quantitative ultrastructural alterations of the gill.

A Hand-Computation Determination of Kill Probability for Weapons Having Spherical Lethal Volume
Operations Research, 1957A method suitable for hand computation is presented for determining the probability of killing a point target when (a) the lethal volume is a sphere centered on the burst point of the weapon, and (b) the distribution of the weapon's burst points is described by a three-dimensional multivanate normal distribution about the target.

Abstract : This report describes a method for computing the probability of defeating a vehicle with a series of consecutive bursts of fire. The vehicle assumed to be vulnerable to either mechanical damage or fire. A fire can be started by either puncturing the fuel system and starting a fire on the same burst, or igniting fuel which was spilled but not

Abstract : This report is an up-dating of BRL Report No. 867. That report gives a description of the physical model and the random number generators used in this report. The methods of BRL Report No. 867 have become inadequate for the solution of the problem with all the recent modifications and refinements and have been superseded by the methods ...
