ADHD and problematic substance use
Ugeskrift for LægerAttention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) often coexists with problematic substance use, such as harmful use or dependency. In this review, studies estimate a 21% prevalence of ADHD among individuals with problematic substance use, who often exhibit earlier substance initiation, faster dependency transitions, and higher relapse risks.
