A Surrogate-Assisted Differential Evolution With Knowledge Transfer for Expensive Incremental Optimization Problems

IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation
In some real-world applications, the optimization problems may involve multiple design stages. At each design stage, the objective is incrementally modified by incorporating more decision variables and optimized. In addition, the fitness evaluations (FEs)

An empirical comparison of dependency network evolution in seven software packaging ecosystems

Empirical Software Engineering, 2017
Nearly every popular programming language comes with one or more package managers. The software packages distributed by such package managers form large software ecosystems.

Error Control Of A Nonlinear Evolution Problem Related To Phase Transitions

Numerical Functional Analysis and Optimization, 1999
In this paper we study a time discretization with variable time step of a nonlinear evolution problem which describes the behaviour of materials subjected to multi-component phase transitions with dissipation. Existence and uniqueness of solutions to this model have been investigated in [8] by using a time discretization approach.

An Evolution Problem Related to Shape Memory Alloys

1989
In this paper we study the mathematical aspects of a thermo-mechanical model of structural phase transition in solids. We include the case of shape memory alloys and assume the free energy depends on the proportions of the phases. The related time-dependent three-dimensional problem is shown to be well posed.

Nonisospectral problems related to DS and other 2+1 dimensional nonlinear evolution equations

Inverse Problems, 1993
Summary: The non-isospectral nonlinear evolution equations of the DS type are derived and solved via the inverse scattering methods. Fully analysed is the irregularity of the time evolution of the inverse data which is due to the multidimensions and to the time dependence of scattering parameters.

High Voltage Induction Motors for use In Hazardous Areas: Evolution of Legal Aspects and Technical Investigations Related to Safety Problems

Fifth International Conference on `Electrical Safety in Hazardous Environments', 1994
A new European Community Directive, dealing with Ex equipment, will shortly be published, giving the opportunity to review the standard safety concepts (EExd, e, p, etc.). According to the European Council statement, the safety degree is based on the number of independent defensive measures (barriers) adopted to reduce the likelihood of an undesired ...
