Applications of process analytical technology to crystallization processes
Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews, 2004Crystallizations of pharmaceutical active ingredients, particularly those that posses multiple polymorphic forms, are among the most critical and least understood pharmaceutical manufacturing processes. Many process and product failures can be traced to a poor understanding and control of crystallization processes.

An impedance-based process analytical technology for monitoring the lyophilisation process
International Journal of Pharmaceutics, 2013The aim of this work was to develop a minimally invasive, impedance spectroscopy method as a novel process analytical technology for monitoring the freeze drying process. This involved the application of planar electrodes, mounted externally to a conventional glass freeze-drying vial, coupled to a high-impedance analyser.
