Process Capability Indices

Journal of Quality Technology, 1986
The capability indices Cp, CPU, CPL, k and Cpk are presented and related to process parameters. These indices are shown to form a complementary system of measures of process performance, and can be used with bilateral and unilateral tolerances, with or ..

Robust process capability indices

Omega, 1998
Many organizations are mandating the use of process capability indices to measure and reduce variability. Managers may find the use of such indices as unreliable when the interaction of the dependency structure and outliers mask potential assignable causes of variation.

A process capability indicator

Total Quality Management, 1993
A new measure of process capability, called process capability indicator and denoted by C1is proposed. It is of the form C1=deviation indicator (DI)+w×variation indicator (VI), where DI and VI, are, respectively, measures of the deviation of the process mean from the target value and the process variation, and both are relative to the tolerance.

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT USING FUZZY ROBUST PROCESS CAPABILITY INDICES

Computational Intelligence in Decision and Control, 2008
Process performance can be analyzed by using process capability indices (PCIs) successfully. They are summary statistics to depict the process situation. PCIs have not reliable results if the process observations have correlation. In this paper, PCIs called Robust Process Capability Indices (RPCIs) are analyzed unlike traditional PCIs.
