Dynamic Wireless QoS Analysis for Real-Time Control in URLLC [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
One of the major goals of ultra-reliable and low-latency communication (URLLC) is to enable real-time wireless control systems. However, it is challenging to use URLLC throughout the control process since a huge amount of wireless resource is needed to ...

Upacicalcet: A Novel Intravenous Calcimimetic Agent for Patients Undergoing Hemodialysis With Secondary Hyperparathyroidism

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHPT) is a common complication in patients receiving maintenance dialysis, driven by calcium and phosphate metabolism disturbances. Calcimimetics are central to the management of SHPT by enhancing calcium‐sensing receptor sensitivity and reducing parathyroid hormone secretion.

Adjunctive Therapeutic Plasma Exchange in Refractory Adult‐Onset Still's Disease Complicated by Secondary Macrophage Activation Syndrome: A Single‐Center Experience

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Adult‐onset Still's disease (AOSD) complicated by macrophage activation syndrome (MAS) carries substantial mortality. The role of therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE) remains uncertain. Methods We retrospectively analyzed patients with AOSD‐MAS treated with TPE at a single‐center.

Microstructure and mechanical properties of SiC ceramic joints bonded with a SiC-YF3 interlayer via SPS diffusion

open access: yesHanjie xuebao
To address the issue of excessively high joining temperatures of silicon carbide (SiC) ceramics in the traditional nano-infiltrated transient eutectic (NITE) method, a method utilizing spark plasma sintering (SPS) diffusion bonding with a SiC-based ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Experimental study on the interaction between particles and coherent structures in dilute liquid–solid two-phase turbulent boundary layer

open access: yesAIP Advances
In order to reveal the modulation of particles on turbulent coherent structures and particle concentration variations induced by turbulence, particle image velocimetry experiments were performed in a dilute liquid–solid two-phase turbulent boundary layer.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative
