Stability of multi-dimensional birth-and-death processes with state-dependent 0-homogeneous jumps [PDF]
We study the positive recurrence of multi-dimensional birth-and-death processes describing the evolution of a large class of stochastic systems, a typical example being the randomly varying number of flow-level transfers in a telecommunication wire-line ...

ABSTRACT Introduction Cognitive impairment and exercise intolerance are common in dialysis patients. Cerebral perfusion and oxygenation play a major role in both cognitive function and exercise execution; HD session per se aggravates cerebral ischemia in this population. This study aimed to compare cerebral oxygenation and perfusion at rest and in mild

Determination of stability of the cutting process under dynamic loading conditions
An approach to quantitatively determining the stability of the cutting process under dynamic loading conditions is demonstrated. With this method, it is proposed to evaluate the time series of cutting force values and determine the stability index as a ...

A thermostable trilayer resist for niobium lift-off
We have developped a novel lift-off process for fabrication of high quality superconducting submicron niobium structures. The process makes use of a thermostable polymer with a high transition temperature T_{g}= 235 C and an excellent chemical stability.
