Expressions for the First Two Moments of the Range of Normal Random Variables with Applications to the Range Control Chart

open access: yesMathematics
A common and simple estimate of variability is the sample range, which is the difference between the maximum and minimum values in the sample. While other measures of variability are preferred in most instances, process owners and operators regularly use

Theoretical Investigation of DIBL Characteristics for Scaled Tri-Gate InGaAs-OI n-MOSFETs Including Sensitivity to Process Variations

open access: yesIEEE Journal of the Electron Devices Society, 2017
This paper investigates the intrinsic drain-induced barrier lowering (DIBL) characteristics of highly-scaled tri-gate n-MOSFETs with InGaAs channel based on ITRS 2021 technology node through numerical simulation corroborated with theoretical calculation.

Prognostic Impact of Treatment Modalities, Including Targeted Compartmental Radio‐Immunotherapy, in a Cohort of Neuroblastoma Patients With CNS Metastases at Relapse

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Neuroblastoma (NB) with central nervous system (CNS) metastases is rare at diagnosis, but occurs more often during relapse/progression. Patients with CNS metastases face a dismal prognosis, with no standardized curative treatment available.

Capacitance Sensor-Based Board-Level PUF for Device Identification

open access: yesIEEE Access
The proliferation of counterfeit and refurbished semiconductor devices has become a critical concern. Device identification techniques based on Physically Unclonable Functions (PUFs) have therefore attracted significant attention.

Sizing of SRAM Cell with Voltage Biasing Techniques for Reliability Enhancement of Memory and PUF Functions

open access: yesJournal of Low Power Electronics and Applications, 2016
Static Random Access Memory (SRAM) has recently been developed into a physical unclonable function (PUF) for generating chip-unique signatures for hardware cryptography.

Variational quantum process tomography

open access: yes, 2021
Quantum process tomography is an experimental technique to fully characterize an unknown quantum process. Standard quantum process tomography suffers from exponentially scaling of the number of measurements with the increasing system size. In this work, we put forward a quantum machine learning algorithm which approximately encodes the unknown unitary ...

Pathogenic Germline PALB2 and RAD50 Variants in Patients With Relapsed Ewing Sarcoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Approximately 10% of patients with Ewing sarcoma (EwS) have pathogenic germline variants. Here, we report two cases: first, a novel germline pathogenic variant in partner and localizer of BRCA2 (PALB2) in a patient with a late EwS relapse. Its impact on homologous recombination is demonstrated, and breast cancer risk is discussed.

Design Strategies for Optimized Bulk-Linearized MOS Pseudo-Resistor

open access: yesMicromachines
The bulk linearization technique is a design strategy used to extend the linear region of a metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistor (MOSFET) by increasing its saturation voltage through a composite structure and a gate biasing circuit.

Decomposing feature-level variation with Covariate Gaussian Process Latent Variable Models

open access: yes, 2019
The interpretation of complex high-dimensional data typically requires the use of dimensionality reduction techniques to extract explanatory low-dimensional representations. However, in many real-world problems these representations may not be sufficient

Improved Outcomes for Older Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults With Neuroblastoma in the Post‐Immunotherapy Era: An Updated Report From the International Neuroblastoma Risk Group

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background We describe clinical and biologic characteristics of neuroblastoma in older children, adolescents, and young adults (OCAYA); describe survival outcomes in the post‐immunotherapy era; and identify if there is an age cut‐off that best discriminates outcomes.
