Processing process: The Gilbreath conjecture
AbstractThere is one very important aspect of history that is often left out – the process. The development of the Gilbreath conjecture is described as an example of this issue. This includes a theorem that delineates the possible series of integers satisfying the conditions of the conjecture.

[ENG] In Catalonia over a long period of time, between the xth century and 1878, some installations were developed, which at first were called «factories» and «fargues», since they manufactured iron and steel of low carbon content of excellent quality. Because of their singular quality, the fam e of this metal made in Catalonia spread to many countries.

Structural dynamics of the plant hormone receptor ETR1 in a native‐like membrane environment
The present study unveils the structural and signaling dynamics of ETR1, a key plant ethylene receptor. Using an optimized nanodisc system and solution NMR, we captured full‐length ETR1 in a native‐like membrane environment. Our findings reveal dynamic domain uncoupling and Cu(I)‐induced rigidification, providing the first evidence of metal‐triggered ...

A working model for cytoplasmic assembly of H/ACA snoRNPs
Dyskerin is the component of nuclear H/ACA ribonucleoproteins (RNPs) endowed with pseudouridine synthase catalytic activity. Two isoforms of human dyskerin have been characterized: the abundant Iso1, mainly nuclear, and the shorter Iso3, mainly cytoplasmic but occasionally imported into nuclei.

Although not much psycholinguistic research has been carried out in the framework of HPSG, the architecture of the theory fits well with what is known about human language processing. This chapter enumerates aspects of this fit. It then discusses two phenomena, island constraints and relative clauses, in which the fit between experimental evidence on ...

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is of huge importance, resulting in over 1 million deaths each year. Here, we describe how a new drug, enmetazobactam, designed to help fight resistant bacterial diseases, inhibits a key enzyme (GES‐1) responsible for AMR. Our data show it is a more potent inhibitor than the related tazobactam, with high‐level computation

Processing Large Amounts of Images on Hadoop with OpenCV [PDF]
Modern image collections cannot be processed efficiently on one computer due to large collection sizes and high computational costs of modern image processing algorithms. Hence, image processing often requires distributed computing.
