The subfamily Procridinae of the family Zygaenidae includes five tribes: Thyrassiini, Pollanisini, Artonini, Cleleini, and Procridini. The karyotypes are known for three of them, viz. Pollanisini, Artonini and Procridini. This paper gives information about the haploid chromosome number (n = 12) of Rhagades predotae (Naufock, 1930) (Procridini).

A new species, Bremeria galloi Efetov & Tarmann (Lepidoptera: Zygaenidae, Procridinae, Cleleini), is described from China. The female holotype is deposited in the Sammlungs- und Forschungszentrum der Tiroler Landesmuseen, Ferdinandeum, Hall in Tirol, Austria.

The chaetotaxy of the first abdominal segment of the first instar larvae of Artona (Balataea) octomaculata (Bremer, 1861) and A. (B.) gracilis (Walker, 1865) (Zygaenidae, Procridinae, Artonini) is described and figured. For these two species the information is newly recorded.

A new species, Jordanita (Roccia) karatauensis Efetov & Gorbunov, sp. nov. (Lepidoptera: Zygaenidae, Procridinae, Procridini), is described from Southern Kazakhstan. The new species is closely related to Jordanita (Roccia) paupera (Christoph, 1887), with which it is sympatric, but flying at a later period.
