Modularity and Delayed Product Differentiation in Assemble-to-order Systems: Analysis and Extensions from a Complexity Perspective [PDF]
The paper assumes a product design around modular architectures and discusses the suitability of the principle of delayed product differentiation in assemble-to-order environments.

Heterodimeric amino acid transporters consist of SLC7 and SLC3 family proteins arranged in a conserved structural organization. They regulate nutrient transport across cell membranes, supporting essential cellular functions. These transporters also contribute to xenobiotic/drug uptake and distribution.

Productivity, Returns to Scale and Product Differentiation in the Retail Trade Industry: An empirical analysis using Japanese firm-level data [PDF]
This paper examines productivity and returns to scale under the assumption of monopolistic competition using Japanese firm-level data. Although differentiating products (services) is considered important in firms' strategies and productivity growth, it ...

Product Differentiation and Collusion in a Two-Sided Media Market
2014-12-25This paper investigates the incentives to differentiate products horizontally in a collusive two-sided media market. The findings show that externalities between advertisers and consumers participating in the media have important impacts on the

A context‐dependent modulatory role for eIF6 in acquired resistance to vemurafenib in melanoma
Acquired resistance to vemurafenib upregulates the translation factor eIF6 in melanoma cells. Silencing eIF6 in resistant cells reduces proliferation and partially restores drug sensitivity, whereas its overexpression increases sensitivity across melanoma lines regardless of BRAF status, via modulation of mTOR, S6K, and MAPK signaling.

Adoption of Product and Process Innovations in Differentiated [PDF]
The paper examines the effects of the degree of competition on the firms' decision to innovate in differentiated markets. We find that a low (high) degree of product differentiation (competition) weakly supports the introduction of new products.

Metastatic niche shaped by host factors influences disseminated cancer cell fate
Metastasis is shaped not only by cancer cells but also by the environments they encounter. This review explores how factors such as aging, diet, the microbiome, lifestyle, and environmental exposures remodel organ‐specific niches in the lung, liver, bone, and brain, influencing where metastatic cells survive, remain dormant, or grow, and ultimately ...

Smaller is better: nanobodies meet NMR
Nanobodies are single‐domain antigen‐binding fragments derived from camelid heavy chain antibodies. Their small size, high stability, and exceptional specificity make nanobodies uniquely useful probes for NMR studies of protein dynamics, transient conformational states, and protein–protein interactions.
