Rigorous engineering of product-line requirements: a case study in failure management

open access: yes, 2007
We consider the failure detection and management function for engine control systems as an application domain where product line engineering is indicated.

Leaftronics: Bio‐Fractal Scaffolds From Leaf Venation for Low‐Waste Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
“Leaftronics” transforms naturally evolved leaf venation into quasi‐fractal scaffolds for sustainable electronics. Polymer‐infiltrated leaf skeletons can be used to fabricate ultra‐smooth, reflow‐ and thin‐film‐compatible decomposable substrates, while making the same lignocellulose networks conducting results in flexible transparent electrodes.

About strong standard completeness of Product Logic

open access: yes, 2016
Propositional Product Logic is known to be standard finite-strong complete but not a strong complete, that is, it is complete for deductions only from finite sets of premises with respect to evaluations on the standard product chain over the real unit ...

Weaving Intelligence: Thermally Drawn Multimaterial Fibers Toward AI‐Enabled Smart Textiles

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Thermally drawn multimaterial fibers are rapidly advancing as intelligent structural units for next‐generation smart textiles. Integrating multimaterial architectures with neuromorphic and spiking‐neural‐network principles enables fabrics that can sense, compute, and adapt autonomously.

Finite RDP-algebras : duality, coproducts and logic

open access: yes, 2011
The variety of RDP-algebras forms the algebraic semantics of RDP-logic, the many-valued propositional logic of the revised drastic product left-continuous triangular norm and its residual.

Second‐Harmonic Hyper‐Mie Optical Activity Enables Closed‐Loop Chiral Photochemistry

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Nonlinear chiral photochemistry is demonstrated in CdTe/CdO nanohelices, where circularly polarized infrared light both drives and tracks photo‐oxidation via second‐harmonic scattering. This closed‐loop process reveals real‐time structural evolution, including shell fracturing and core exposure, accompanied by a transition from hyper‐Mie to hyper ...
