Quantum Product of Symmetric Functions [PDF]
We provide an explicit description of the quantum product of multi-symmetric functions using the elementary multi-symmetric functions introduced by Vaccarino.

Kontsevich and Takhtajan construction of star product on the Poisson Lie group GL(2) [PDF]
Comparing the star product defined by Takhtajan on the Poisson-Lie group GL(2) and any star product calculated from the Kontsevich's graphs (any ''K-star product'') on the same group, we show, by direct computation, that the Takhtajan star product on GL(2) can't be written as a K-star product.

Mathematical modelling of enhanced gas production [PDF]
Abstract Based on a mathematical model for 2D filtration of a two-phase multicomponent hydrocarbon mixture, the boundary problem of optimizing distribution of well flow rates was for the first time composed and solved so as to maximize the gas recovery from a natural gas reservoir at its final stage of development.

Some notes on Euler products [PDF]
We focus on a well-known convergence phenomenon, the fact that the $\zeta$ zeros are the universal singularities of certain Euler products.

Combinatorial Yang-Baxter maps arising from tetrahedron equation
We survey the matrix product solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation obtained recently from the tetrahedron equation. They form a family of quantum $R$ matrices of generalized quantum groups interpolating the symmetric tensor representations of $U_q(A^{(1)}

Mathematical modelling of platelet production
Hospitals sometimes experience shortages of donor blood platelet supplies, motivating research into in vitro production of platelets. We use mathematical modelling to study platelet production. First, we model the flow in a novel platelet bioreactor described by our collaborators in Shepherd et al.

Global Non-perturbative Deformation Quantization of a Poisson Algebra [PDF]
A proposed definition is given for the quantization of a Poisson algebra, taking the quantum product to be a geodesic on the manifold of associative products.

Entropy production in quantum spin systems [PDF]
We consider a quantum spin system consisting of a finite subsystem connected to infinite reservoirs at different temperatures. In this setup we define nonequilibrium steady states and prove that the rate of entropy production in such states is nonnegative.
