Abstract The synthesis of ribosomal protein was found to occur without de , novo ribosome synthesis during zoosporangium development in Blastocladiella , emersonii . The amount of ribosomal protein synthesized was greatly reduced, compared to the growth phase level of synthesis.

There is growing curiosity in the exploration of novel renewable resources as alternatives for the production of protein hydrolysates (PH). Thus, the undiscovered potential of utilizing residual biomass from Spirulina, particularly after lipid extraction, for food production presents an encouraging avenue for further research.

We found that penicillin-induced glutamate production by Corynebacterium glutamicum is inhibited when a de novo protein synthesis inhibitor, chloramphenicol, is added simultaneously with penicillin. When chloramphenicol was added 4 h after penicillin addition, glutamate production was essentially unaffected.
