Personalized Medication for Chronic Diseases Using Multimodal Data‐Driven Chain‐of‐Decisions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A MDD‐CoD is proposed for personalized chronic disease medication. The framework simulates clinical chain‐of‐decisions through three linked deep learning tasks, validated on multi‐center datasets (3 hospitals, 4 diseases), demonstrating enhanced generalization and interpretability in cross‐disease applications.

Production Networks and Economic Policy

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal, 2019
Abstract In this paper, we show how to combine data on input–output tables and recent insights from the theory of production networks in order to inform policy. We first describe the information contained in input–output tables compiled by statistical agencies, and show how to derive relevant statistics of production networks.

Discovering Uncharted Binding Pockets on E3 Ligases Leads to the Identification of FBW7 Allosteric Modulators

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A computational approach to identify and characterize ligandable binding pockets on E3 ligases is presented. As a validation case, the first low‐micromolar small moleculesthat bind to the FBW7 E3 ligase are identified and confirmed to bind at the intended site.

Data‐Driven Printability Modeling of Hydrogels for Precise Direct Ink Writing Based on Rheological Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A predictive model for 3D printability is developed by integrating rheological analysis, including the Large Amplitude Oscillatory Shear (LAOS) test, with machine learning. With prediction errors under 10%, the model shows that post‐extrusion recovery controls horizontal printability, while high‐strain‐rate nozzle flow dictates vertical printability ...

Scalable Lignin Monomer Production Via Machine Learning‐Guided Reductive Catalytic Fractionation of Lignocellulose

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study pioneers an integrated machine learning framework combining large‐scale data modeling, experimental validation, and impact analysis to optimize reductive catalytic fractionation for scalable, sustainable lignin monomer production. Abstract Efficient valorization of lignocellulosic biomass into high‐value lignin monomers is a cornerstone of ...

The Real Cost of HLB in Florida

open access: yesEDIS, 2019
I estimated the cultural cost per acre of managing HLB in orange citrus groves in Florida to be $663, which represents a 67% increase compared to pre-HLB levels.
