Aggregate production planning with workforce transferring plan for multiple product types
Production Planning & Control, 2003This paper presents the aggregate production planning for multiple product types where the worker resource can be transferred among the production lines. A mathematical model was formulated in spreadsheet format. Then the spreadsheet-solver technique was used as a tool to solve the model.

Data-driven optimization for production planning with multiple demand features
Kybernetes, 2023PurposeThe production planning problem with fine-grained information has hardly been considered in practice. The purpose of this study is to investigate the data-driven production planning problem when a manufacturer can observe historical demand data with high-dimensional mixed-frequency features, which provides fine-grained information.Design ...

AGGREGATE PRODUCTION PLANNING WITH MULTIPLE FUZZY GOALS
Journal of the Chinese Institute of Industrial Engineers, 2002ABSTRACT The purpose of this paper is to develop a multiple fuzzy objective linear programming model (MFOLP) for APP decision problem. This model contains multiple objective functions, more flexible decision procedure, and more extensible decision information.

Aggregate production planning with multiple fuzzy goals
The International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, 2004This work presents a novel interactive multiple fuzzy objective linear programming (MFOLP) model for solving the aggregate production planning (APP) decision problem in a fuzzy environment. The proposed model minimizes total production costs, carrying and backordering costs, and costs of changes in labor levels, while considering inventory levels ...

Application of binary programming theory to product color planning with multiple constraints
Color Research & Application, 2021AbstractCompanies generally set a standard color for product color design to enhance the corporate brand image. When a given color and the planned combination of given areas contain multiple constraints, the exhaustive process that has traditionally been used to obtain the optimal color scheme is often time consuming. Therefore, this study proposes the

Production planning with multiple objectives in decentralized organizations
International Journal of Production Economics, 1998The paper presents a procedure for supporting the process of production planning in decentralized organizations. A situation is considered similar to that of the Dantzig/Wolfe algorithm: several divisions use scarce production resources that are controlled by the top-management. In contrast to the Dantzig/Wolfe situation, however, all decision makers -

AbstractThis paper considers the production planning problem of a firm that produces a single product using a process that has multiple production lines (or machines) in parallel, each with a finite production capacity. Specifically, the firm has m parallel production lines, each with capacity of P units per period.
