Scheduling in a production environment with multiple process plans per job
International Journal of Production Research, 1999Traditional job shop scheduling problems generally assume that there is a single feasible routing with which a part can be processed in a shop. In today's flexible production systems, this assumption is rarely true. For most manufactured parts, it is possible to generate multiple ways to sequence the operations required to realize the finished product.

In this paper, we study a class of manufacturing systems which consist of multiple plants and each of the plants has capability of producing multiple distinct products. The production lines of a certain plant may switch between producing different kinds of products in a time-sharing mode.

Management planning for winter wheat with multiple objectives (2): ethanol-wheat production
Agricultural Systems, 2002Abstract In 1993, the European Community stimulated the production of ethanol-wheat in France by authorising the production of crops for biofuel as an alternative way of using set-aside land. The stakeholders involved aspire to several goals: distillers and farmers seek increased profits whereas the French government wants ethanol-wheat to be ...

Multi-site aggregate production planning with multiple objectives: A goal programming approach
Production Planning & Control, 2003This paper addresses the problem of aggregate production planning (APP) for a multinational lingerie company in Hong Kong. The multi-site production planning problem considers the production loading plans among manufacturing factories subject to certain restrictions, such as production import/export quotas imposed by regulatory requirements of ...

Multi-item bi-level supply chain planning with multiple remanufacturing of reusable by-products
International Journal of Production Economics, 2018Abstract In this paper, we investigate a multi-item production planning problem in which remanufacturable raw materials are used for manufacturing the final products. The used raw material (considered as a kind of by-product) needs to be remanufactured before being suitable to be used again to manufacture other final products.

Integrating production-transportation planning decision with fuzzy multiple goals in supply chains
International Journal of Production Research, 2008This work presents a novel fuzzy multi-objective linear programming (f-MOLP) model for solving integrated production-transportation planning decision (PTPD) problems in supply chains in a fuzzy environment. The proposed model attempts to simultaneously minimise total production and transportation costs, total number of rejected items, and total ...
