Data‐Driven Innovation in Metal‐Organic Frameworks Photocatalysis: Bridging Gaps for CO2 Capture and Conversion with FAIR Principles

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
Finding solutions to enhance sustainability in carbon capture and utilization technologies requires a novel data management ecosystem. A centralized, user‐friendly database to streamline comparisons of metal‐organic frameworks (MOF) materials for CO2 capture consolidates critical data from the literature, improving decision‐making in material selection.

Sustainable Thermal Solutions: Enhancing Heat Transfer with Turbulators and Nanofluids

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
Nanofluids, which are nanoparticle suspensions in base fluid, facilitate heat transmission due to their improved thermal conductivity. Turbulators, which are inserts into fluid flow channels, disturb the flow, increasing turbulence and hence the heat transfer rate.

Stabilization of ZnO Catalysts for Polyesters Hydrolytic Depolymerization by Incorporation into ZrO2 Lattice: A Polylactic Acid Case Study

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
Hydrolytic depolymerization is an effective and clean approach to achieve circularity in polyesters management. Use of heterogeneous ZnO catalyst improve reaction kinetic, selectivity, and catalyst reuse, although limited by the interaction of ZnO with the nascent carboxylic acids, which leads to catalyst dissolution and deactivation. A design strategy

Enhancing Plastic Decomposition in Mealworms (Tenebrio molitor): The Role of Nutritional Amino Acids and Water

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
The decomposition of single‐use plastics by selected insects is often sustained or enhanced through the addition of natural supplements or feeds. Herein, the rationale behind these choices is demonstrated by examining the effects of selected amino acids and water as enhancers in the biodegradation of polystyrene by mealworms.
