Multi‐product Firms and Product Variety [PDF]
We examine the role of multi‐product firms in the provision of product variety using the Chen–Riordan spokes model. In the presence of economies of scope, the equilibrium includes a small number of multi‐product firms that use their product range strategically in order to affect rivals' prices.

Unraveling Mycobacterium tuberculosis acid resistance and pH homeostasis mechanisms
Mycobacterium tuberculosis exhibits a remarkable resilience to acid stress. In this Review, we discuss some of the molecular mechanisms and metabolic pathways used by the tubercle bacilli to adapt and resist host‐mediated acid stress. Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) is a successful pathogen that has developed a variety of strategies to survive and ...

Stability of the Heisenberg Product on Symmetric Functions [PDF]
The Heisenberg product is an associative product defined on symmetric functions which interpolates between the usual product and the Kronecker product. In 1938, Murnaghan discovered that the Kronecker product of two Schur functions stabilizes. We prove an analogous result for the Heisenberg product of Schur functions.

Fast Recognition of Partial Star Products and Quasi Cartesian Products [PDF]
This paper is concerned with the fast computation of a relation $\R$ on the edge set of connected graphs that plays a decisive role in the recognition of approximate Cartesian products, the weak reconstruction of Cartesian products, and the recognition ...

The S1025 peptide is the major antidote to the YrzI toxin, which we renamed here as SpyT (Small Peptide YrzI Toxin) and SpyA (Small Peptide YrzI Antitoxin) (1). Degradation of the toxin–antitoxin spyTA mRNA, either by a translation‐dependent cleavage by the endoribonuclease Rae1 (2) or by direct attack by 3′‐exoribonucleases (3), also contributes to ...

Twisted Algebras of Multiplier Hopf ($^*$-)algebra [PDF]
In this paper we study twisted algebras of multiplier Hopf ($^*$-)algebras which generalize all kinds of smash products such as generalized smash products, twisted smash products, diagonal crossed products, L-R-smash products, two-sided crossed products and two-sided smash products for the ordinary Hopf algebras appeared in [P-O].

α2 → 8 polysialic acid elicits poor immunogenicity. Small‐angle scattering shows a supramolecular structure with parallel‐chain binding, although in different forms at μm and mm calcium. The major histocompatibility complex requires molecular weights around 2000 Da to produce antibodies, and 2000 Da polysialic oligomers will bind in these structures ...
