Products of $ \pi$-nilpotent subgroups

Sbornik: Mathematics, 1996
Summary: Let \(A\) and \(B\) be \(\pi\)-nilpotent subgroups of a finite group \(G\) and suppose that \((|G:A|,p)=(|G:B|,p)=1\) for all \(p\in\pi\). It is proved that if \(G\) is the product of \(A\) and \(B\) then \(G\) is a \(\pi\)-nilpotent group.

Subgroups Of Direct Products Of Elementarily Free Groups

, 2005
.The structure of groups having the same elementary theory as free groups is now known: they and their finitely generated subgroups form a prescribed subclass $${\mathcal{E}}$$ of the hyperbolic limit groups.

The structure of crossed products of irrational rotation algebras by finite subgroups of SL2(ℤ)

, 2006
Let F ⊆ SL2(ℤ) be a finite subgroup (necessarily isomorphic to one of ℤ2, ℤ3, ℤ4, or ℤ6), and let F act on the irrational rotational algebra Aθ via the restriction of the canonical action of SL2(ℤ).

Primitive Subgroups of Wreath Products in Product Action

Proceedings of the London Mathematical Society, 1989
Let A be a finite permutation group on a set \(\Omega\) and let W be the wreath product A Wr \(S_ n\) in product action, i.e. in the obvious faithful permutation action on the cartesian power \(\Omega^ n\). This paper is concerned with finite primitive permutation groups G which are subgroups of W and are such that socles of G and W are the same.

Direct products and isomorphism of fuzzy subgroups

Information Sciences, 1992
The author defines the internal direct product \(\mu \otimes \nu\) of two fuzzy subgroups \(\mu\) and \(\nu\) of a group \(G\). He also introduces a notion of homomorphism and isomorphism of fuzzy subgroups (of possibly different groups) and proves that \(\mu \otimes \nu\) is isomorphic to the external direct product \(\mu \times \nu\).

On 2-generated subgroups and products of groups

Journal of Group Theory, 2008
This paper approaches the influence of 2-generated subgroups \(\langle a,b\rangle \), \(a,b\in G\), of a finite group \(G\) on the structure of the whole group. For a non-empty class of groups \(\mathcal F\), two subgroups \(A\) and \(B\) of a finite group \(G\) are said to be \(\mathcal F\)-connected if \(\langle a,b\rangle\in\mathcal F\) for every ...
