Comparisons of the temperature and humidity profiles of reanalysis products with shipboard GPS sounding measurements obtained during the 2018 Eastern Indian Ocean Open Cruise

open access: yesAtmospheric and Oceanic Science Letters, 2019
It is important to be able to characterize the thermal conditions over the equatorial Indian Ocean for both weather forecasting and climate prediction.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

RESEARCH ON THE FATIGUE PERFORMANCE OF HELICAL GEAR PAIR BASED ON LOAD SPECTRUM

open access: yesJixie qiangdu, 2017
The 3D contact finite element model of helical gear pair is built to generate mode neutral file by ANSYS,the flexible dynamics simulation anslysis is carried out by using ADAMS,and contact force of helical gear pair is obtained as load spectrum.

Simulation modelling in the tasks of digital engineering in the creation of information-measuring systems

open access: yesTrudy Odesskogo Politehničeskogo Universiteta, 2022
The object of this study is virtual measuring systems for shape deviation parameters. The article describes the designed virtual instrument for simulating the process of determining the parameters of the shape deviation of cylindrical shafts.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Key Technologies of Machine Vision for Precision Measuring of Profile Deviations

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2019
In this paper novel measuring methods for profile deviation are proposed based on machine vision. After the tangent point of the basic circle and the normal line of the tooth profile through a sampled point are obtained, angles of vectors determining by ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.
