Microemulsion‐Based Drilling Fluids Incorporating Seashell Residue Powder: A Sustainable Approach to Fluid Loss Control

Journal of Surfactants and Detergents, EarlyView.
Two microemulsion‐based drilling fluids incorporating SSRP were formulated using pine oil, the nonionic surfactant Alkonat L100W, and a glycerol/water solution. The results provide valuable insights into how surfactant‐assisted microemulsion systems can be engineered to enhance the performance and eco‐efficiency of drilling fluids.

DNA barcoding for identification of species involved in wildlife strikes at Brazilian airports

A collaborative network of 42 Brazilian airports applied DNA barcoding to identify 80 species involved in wildlife strikes. Fire‐induced shifts in activity patterns of predators and prey in the Brazilian Pantanal

The Journal of Wildlife Management, EarlyView.
Using camera trap data, we observed that 5 of 6 prey species showed statistically significant changes in temporal activity patterns, while jaguars were the only predator species to adjust activity when comparing pre‐fire and post‐fire periods in an isolated rocky formation in the Pantanal region.
