Association of high‐dose radioactive iodine therapy with PPM1D‐mutated clonal hematopoiesis in older individuals

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In thyroid cancer patients, high‐dose (≥7.4 GBq) radioactive iodine therapy (RAIT) was associated with a higher prevalence of clonal hematopoiesis (variant allele frequency >2%) in individuals aged ≥50 years (OR = 2.44). In silico analyses showed that truncating PPM1D mutations conferred a selective advantage under these conditions.

Raphin‐1 mediates the survival and sensitivity to radiation of pediatric‐type diffuse high‐grade glioma via phosphorylated eukaryotic initiation factor 2α‐dependent and ‐independent processes

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Raphin‐1 reduces the survival of PED‐DHGG cells and enhances their radiation sensitivity through both PeIF2α‐dependent and PeIF2α‐independent mechanisms. Raphin‐1 sustains elevated levels of PeIF2α, contributing to its PeIF2α‐dependent effects. Additionally, raphin‐1 interacts with CReP to mediate a separate radiosensitizing pathway that operates ...

Transformational program development in a particular problem domain

open access: yesScience of Computer Programming, 1986
Transformational programming is a methodology which supports the process of constructing a program that meets a given specification. Starting with a formal problem definition, an algorithm to solve the problem is derived (formally) by applying correctness-preserving transformation rules in a step-by-step fashion.

Targeting carbonic anhydrase IX/XII prevents the anti‐ferroptotic effect of stromal lactic acid in prostate carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In prostate carcinoma, lactic acid, secreted by highly glycolytic cancer‐associated fibroblasts, is imported into tumor cells through the MCT1 transporter and prevents RSL3 and erastin‐induced ferroptosis (A). Targeting of carbonic anhydrase IX/XII, the main extracellular pH regulators, in tumor and stromal cells reduces microenvironmental acidosis and

An exact method for a discrete multiobjective linear fractional optimization [PDF]

open access: yes
Integer linear fractional programming problem with multiple objective MOILFP is an important field of research and has not received as much attention as did multiple objective linear fractional programming.

β‐TrCP overexpression enhances cisplatin sensitivity by depleting BRCA1

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Low levels of β‐TrCP (Panel A) allow the accumulation of BRCA1 and CtIP, which facilitate the repair of cisplatin‐induced DNA damage via homologous recombination (HR) and promote tumor cell survival. In contrast, high β‐TrCP expression (Panel B) leads to BRCA1 and CtIP degradation, impairing HR repair, resulting in persistent DNA damage and apoptosis ...

Stability in E-convex programming

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2001
We define and analyze two kinds of stability in E-convex programming problem in which the feasible domain is affected by an operator E. The first kind of this stability is that the set of all operators E that make an optimal set stable while the other ...

Learning Strategies and Transfer in the Domain of Programming

open access: yesCognition and Instruction, 1994
We report two studies involving an intelligent tutoring system for Lisp (the Camegie Mellon University Lisp Tutor). In Experiment 1, we developed a model, based on production system theories of transfer and analogical problem solving, that accounts for effects of instructional examples, the transfer of cognitive skills across programming problems, and ...

Unveiling unique protein and phosphorylation signatures in lung adenocarcinomas with and without ALK, EGFR, and KRAS genetic alterations

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Proteomic and phosphoproteomic analyses were performed on lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) tumors with EGFR, KRAS, or EML4–ALK alterations and wild‐type cases. Distinct protein expression and phosphorylation patterns were identified, especially in EGFR‐mutated tumors. Key altered pathways included vesicle transport and RNA splicing.
