Extreme programming in the telecommunications domain
Bell Labs Technical Journal, 2003Extreme Programming (XP) is a lightweight methodology that is gaining industry acceptance and momentum. XP promises to reduce project risk, improve responsiveness to changing/vague requirements, and allow a system to grow naturally while at the same time facilitating an enjoyable development environment. XP consists of four values and twelve practices.

Rewrite Rules for Debugging Student Programs in Programming Tutors
IEEE Transactions on Learning Technologies, 2018Data-driven intelligent tutoring systems learn to provide feedback based on past student behavior, reducing the effort required for their development. A major obstacle to applying data-driven methods in the programming domain is the lack of meaningful ...

Chemical Programming of the Domain of Existence of Liquid Crystals
Chemistry – A European Journal, 2015AbstractThis work illustrates how enthalpy and entropy changes responsible for successive phase transitions of cyanobiphenyl‐based liquid crystals can be combined to give cohesive free energy densities. These new parameters are able to rationalize and quantify the demixing of the melting and clearing processes that occur in thermotropic liquid crystals.

An advanced programming language definition and domain correctness of programs
ACM SIGPLAN Notices, 1982Program execution is not adequately reflected in usual syntactic programming language definition by formal grammar, although either actual or mental execution is referred to during reading (tracing) and correctness proving. An advanced programming languages definition associates in input/output variables, the domain, and the computable function with ...

Program for multi-domain symbolic analysis
2010 XIth International Workshop on Symbolic and Numerical Methods, Modeling and Applications to Circuit Design (SM2ACD), 2010The paper deals with the implementation of multi-domain symbolic analysis in a new program, SAMD (Symbolic Analysis of Mechatronic Drives), developed with the emphasis on linearized hybrid systems combining classical electrical circuits, controllers, electro-mechanical converters and mechanical parts of electric drives.

Improvements to Frequency-Domain Riser Programs
Offshore Technology Conference, 1983ABSTRACT This paper develops and demonstrates the improvements to frequency domain riser analysis obtained by including a wave surface correction and by calculating forces at the displaced riser position. The range of validity is extended to higher waves without a significant increase in program running costs.

The Domain-Specific Software Architecture Program
1992Abstract : The DARPA Domain Specific Software Architecture Program (DSSA) is a five-year effort that has been active since July 1991. This document contains an overview of the work being done in the program as of July 1992. Software architectures serve as frameworks for software reuse.
