Autophagy in cancer and protein conformational disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Autophagy plays a crucial role in numerous biological processes, including protein and organelle quality control, development, immunity, and metabolism. Hence, dysregulation or mutations in autophagy‐related genes have been implicated in a wide range of human diseases.

DDPG-Based Convex Programming Algorithm for the Midcourse Guidance Trajectory of Interceptor

open access: yesAerospace
To address the problem of low accuracy and efficiency in trajectory planning algorithms for interceptors facing multiple constraints during the midcourse guidance phase, an improved trajectory convex programming method based on the lateral distance ...

Meta-programming for cross-domain tensor optimizations [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 17th ACM SIGPLAN International Conference on Generative Programming: Concepts and Experiences, 2018
Many modern application domains crucially rely on tensor operations. The optimization of programs that operate on tensors poses difficulties that are not adequately addressed by existing languages and tools. Frameworks such as TensorFlow offer good abstractions for tensor operations, but target a specific domain, i.e.

Evolutionary interplay between viruses and R‐loops

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Viruses interact with specialized nucleic acid structures called R‐loops to influence host transcription, epigenetic states, latency, and immune evasion. This Perspective examines the roles of R‐loops in viral replication, integration, and silencing, and how viruses co‐opt or avoid these structures.

Domain-Specific Languages of Mathematics: Presenting Mathematical Analysis Using Functional Programming [PDF]

open access: yesElectronic Proceedings in Theoretical Computer Science, 2016
We present the approach underlying a course on "Domain-Specific Languages of Mathematics", currently being developed at Chalmers in response to difficulties faced by third-year students in learning and applying classical mathematics (mainly real and ...

Disruption of SETD3‐mediated histidine‐73 methylation by the BWCFF‐associated β‐actin G74S mutation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The β‐actin G74S mutation causes altered interaction of actin with SETD3, reducing histidine‐73 methylation efficiency and forming two distinct actin variants. The variable ratio of these variants across cell types and developmental stages contributes to tissue‐specific phenotypical changes. This imbalance may impair actin dynamics and mechanosensitive

Foundations of Total Functional Data-Flow Programming [PDF]

open access: yesElectronic Proceedings in Theoretical Computer Science, 2014
The field of declarative stream programming (discrete time, clocked synchronous, modular, data-centric) is divided between the data-flow graph paradigm favored by domain experts, and the functional reactive paradigm favored by academics.

Optimality in Goal-Dependent Analysis of Sharing

open access: yes, 2009
We face the problems of correctness, optimality and precision for the static analysis of logic programs, using the theory of abstract interpretation.
