Progressive collapse behavior of reinforced concrete structures with deficient details [PDF]
textDamage from abnormal loading such as explosion, bombing, and sudden external impacts on elements of a structure can range from a loss of individual elements to total collapse.

In Situ Amine Formation to Modulate MOF‐Derived PdIn N‐Doped Carbon Catalysts
An amine‐assisted approach converts PdIn‐MOF into PdIn intermetallic nanoparticles embedded in N‐doped carbon. In situ‐generated amines trigger early Pd nucleation, producing smaller PdIn domains than direct pyrolysis. Amine sterics and basicity tune composition and particle size, while solvent and amine co‐determine textural features.

Assessment of earthquake-induced progressive collapse in steel moment frames
Main objective of earthquake engineering is to provide an adequate margin of safety against any type of collapse. Progressive collapse can occur because of human-made and natural hazards such as blast, impact, fire and also earthquakes.

2D MOF with Intrinsic Porosity for Colorimetric Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) Detection
An uncommon 2D MOF with intrinsic in‐plane porosity that can be mechanically exfoliated undergoes a distinct and reversible colour change upon exposure to various volatile organic compounds. ABSTRACT In this work, we report an uncommon 2D metal–organic framework (MOF) with intrinsic in‐plane porosity that undergoes a distinct and reversible colour ...

Progressive collapse of framed structures: Suggestions for robustness assessment [PDF]
The term \progressive collapse" has been used to describe the spread of local failure in a manner analogous to a chain reaction that leads to partial or total collapse of a structure. Robustness is de ned as a fundamental property of structural systems

A Nb‐proximitized Josephson junction based on a WTe2/α‐Fe2O3 heterostructure exhibits a robust superconducting diode effect with programmable polarity. The diode direction can be trained by magnetic fields and switched by temperature cycling, revealing tunable finite‐momentum pairing states and competing superconducting states in symmetry‐broken ...
