Progressive Taxation, Macroeconomic Stabilization and efficiency in Europe [PDF]
The paper contributes to the debate on the stability/efficiency tradeoff of automatic stabilizers. A simple AD-AS two-country model is presented and illustrates circumstances where a reduction in taxes can foster stabilization.
