Addressing persistent challenges in digital image analysis of cancer tissue: resources developed from a hackathon

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Large multidimensional digital images of cancer tissue are becoming prolific, but many challenges exist to automatically extract relevant information from them using computational tools. We describe publicly available resources that have been developed jointly by expert and non‐expert computational biologists working together during a virtual hackathon

Impact of molecular diagnostics and targeted cancer therapy on patient outcomes (MODIFY): a retrospective study of the implementation of precision oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 19, Issue 5, Page 1508-1516, May 2025.
The authors conducted a retrospective study of 94 patients with advanced cancer who underwent next‐generation sequencing (NGS) gene panel analysis and received targeted treatments when applicable. Results further support evidence indicating that molecular profiling provides clinical benefit.

Detection rate for ESR1 mutations is higher in circulating‐tumor‐cell‐derived genomic DNA than in paired plasma cell‐free DNA samples as revealed by ddPCR

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Analysis of ESR1 mutations in plasma cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) is highly important for the selection of treatment in patients with breast cancer. Using multiplex‐ddPCR and identical blood draws, we investigated whether circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and cfDNA provide similar or complementary information for ESR1 mutations.

Impact Analysis of Allocation of Resources by Project Manager on Success of Software Projects [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
Generation Production of successful software project is one of the prime considerations of software industry. Engineering high quality software products is further influenced by several factors such as budget, schedule, resource constraints etc. A project manager is responsible for estimation and allocation of these resources in a project.

Multi‐omics profiling reveals key factors involved in Ewing sarcoma metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 19, Issue 4, Page 1002-1028, April 2025.
Using a mouse model that recapitulates the spread of tumor cells within the body, we have profiled paired tumors and metastasis samples using a multiomics approach combining different layers of biological information. We identified key genes that drive metastasis in Ewing sarcoma.

An Study of The Role of Software Project Manger in the Outcome of the Project [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
This paper describes an in depth analysis of successful and unsuccessful software Projects and the Role of Software Project Mangers in that success. One of the main reason in software project success is manager. Software houses are investing too much in this regard but the average ratio of software project failure is on the high side.

Stochastic Processes In Project Management [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Performance of planned activities not always leads to the achievement of planned results in innovation projects with a high degree of uncertainty. Management of such specific projects requires the usage of specific methods and processes.

Inhibition of acyl‐CoA synthetase long‐chain isozymes decreases multiple myeloma cell proliferation and causes mitochondrial dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Triacsin C inhibition of the acyl‐CoA synthetase long chain (ACSL) family decreases multiple myeloma cell survival, proliferation, mitochondrial respiration, and membrane potential. Made with Biorender.com. Multiple myeloma (MM) is an incurable cancer of plasma cells with a 5‐year survival rate of 59%.
