The square: project presentation

2023
The Square is a company based on the need of some young artists just out of artistic education (25-30 years old) who do not know their way around the art world and market and would like to make themselves known. As a solution to this problem, we propose a platform that provides exhibitions in Marseille (France) with the works of art of young people ...

Mean square estimation and projections

Signal Processing, 1990
Abstract The optimal filter appearing in linear mean square estimation can be calculated by a projection onto the observation space. This projection method is not particular to linear estimation and isextended in many directions. Firstly, the conditional expectation value giving the best mean square estimator is also a projection Furthermore, many ...

Least-squares gamma estimation in fringe projection profilometry

Applied Optics, 2021
This paper introduces a novel, to the best of our knowledge, method to estimate and compensate the nonlinear gamma factor introduced by the optical system in fringe projection profilometry. We propose to determine this factor indirectly by adjusting the least-squares plane to the estimated phase coming from the reference plane.

Fitting Square Theories Into Round Projects

Research and Theory for Nursing Practice, 2013
Colleagues, the time has come for me to stand on my soapbox and proselytize about the difference between the kinds of end products/projects/dissertations we expect from PhD, DNS, DNSc, EdD, and DNP students. Least Squares, Projections, and Pseudoinverses

2010
These papers form a small sample of Stewart’s work on least squares, projec- 14 tions, and generalized inverses; see also [GWS-J23, GWS-J28, GWS-J60, GWS-J97, 15 GWS-J119, GWS-N5, GWS-N24], for example. Stewart’s focus in this area was to 16 put the understanding of generalized inverses on as firm a footing as that of the 17 usual matrix inverse.

The One Square Foot project

Studies in Theatre and Performance, 2007
AbstractThe One Square Foot project is a collaborative investigation concerned with the making of ‘new work’. It places the ‘creative actor’, rather than the playwright, at the heart of generating material for performance and addresses the question of dramaturgical structure within interdisciplinary performance as one of its key concerns.
