Encapsulins are protein nanocompartments that play an important role in iron storage. In the Myxococcus xanthus encapsulin system, two cargo proteins called EncB and EncC contribute to iron mineralization. Here, we show that EncB and EncC generate iron‐containing minerals with distinct chemical compositions, suggesting that the composition of stored ...

Computing the Projection on the Intersection of Linear Equality and Cardinality Constraints
In this paper, we introduce a novel approach to solve the vector projection problem under linear equality and cardinality constraints, termed the Quasi-Newton Lagrangian method. This approach employs a Lagrangian transformation to address linear equality

In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

The target projection dynamic [PDF]
This paper studies the target projection dynamic, which is a model of myopic adjustment for population games. We put it into the standard microeconomic framework of utility maximization with control costs.

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

A First Look on the New Halle Economic Projection Model [PDF]
In this paper we develop a small open economy model explaining the joint determination of output, inflation, interest rates, unemployment and the exchange rate in a multi-country framework.

Residuals play a central role in linear regression, yet their geometry is often hidden by inverse- and pseudoinverse-based formulas. We develop a rank-aware framework for residual projection that makes the underlying orthogonality explicit.

Projected Canonical Curves and the Clifford Index
Let \(X\) be a smooth, nonhyperelliptic, projective algebraic curve, defined over \(\mathbb{C}\), and of genus \(g\). Denote by \(X^{(k)}\) the \(k\)-th symmetric product of \(X\), where \(k \in \mathbb{Z}\), \(k \geq 0\); points in \(X^{(k)}\) may be thought of as divisors on \(X\) that have degree \(k\) (we assume that \(X^{(0)}\) is a one point set ...
