The direct-projection methods

International Journal of Computer Mathematics, 2001
In this paper, the direct-projection method given by Benzi and Meyer (1995) is derived by slightly different way - Basic Solutions of corresponding homogeneous system. The idea of the method differs from the idea of the Gaussian Elimination (or LU decomposition). The method works for every nonsingular coefficient matrix in the absence of rounding error.

A successive projection method

Mathematical Programming, 1988
It is of both theoretical and practical interest to find the projection of a point to the intersection of a finite number of closed convex sets by a sequence of projections to the individual sets successively. In this paper we study such a method and analyze its convergence properties.

Number projection method

Physical Review C, 1987
A relationship between the number projection and the shell model methods is investigated in the case of a single-j shell. We can find a one-to-one correspondence between the number projected and the shell model states.

Household projection methods

Journal of Forecasting, 1987
AbstractThe role of household projections as a basis for forecasts of households at national and sub‐national level is discussed and a number of criteria for such projections are outlined. The projection method used by the Department of the Environment is examined in the context of these criteria and it is concluded that it is both practical and robust.

The Metamorphosis of Projective Methods

Journal of Projective Techniques and Personality Assessment, 1968
Summary Early approaches to projective methods emphasized the use of unstructured materials as stimuli designed to elicit symbolic material within a psychoanalytic framework. Current theorizing concerning projective methods emphasizes the multi-level nature of test behavior and the unique role that projective methods play in the assessment ...
