A new characterization of convex φ-functions with a parameter [PDF]

open access: yesOpuscula Mathematica, 2015
We show that, under some additional assumptions, all projection operators onto latticially closed subsets of the Orlicz-Musielak space generated by \(\Phi\) are isotonic if and only if \(\Phi\) is convex with respect to its second variable. A dual result

Mapping quantum-classical Liouville equation: projectors and trajectories

open access: yes, 2012
The evolution of a mixed quantum-classical system is expressed in the mapping formalism where discrete quantum states are mapped onto oscillator states, resulting in a phase space description of the quantum degrees of freedom.

A Quantum Anti-Zeno Paradox [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
We establish an exact differential equation for the operator describing time-dependent measurements continuous in time and obtain a series solution. Suppose the projection operator $E(t) = U(t) E U^\dagger(t)$ is measured continuously from t = 0 to T ...

Adaptive Command-Filtered Backstepping Control for Virtual Synchronous Generators

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
Distributed energy sources are usually interfaced to the grid using power electronic converters, and lack of inertia in inverter dominated microgrids can affect the system stability. This paper presents a new method for virtual synchronous generator (VSG)

Constructing Fewer Open Cells by GCD Computation in CAD Projection

open access: yes, 2014
A new projection operator based on cylindrical algebraic decomposition (CAD) is proposed. The new operator computes the intersection of projection factor sets produced by different CAD projection orders.

Projections in operator ranges [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
If $\H$ is a Hilbert space, $A$ is a positive bounded linear operator on $\cH$ and $\cS$ is a closed subspace of $\cH$, the relative position between $\cS$ and $A^{-1}(\cS \orto)$ establishes a notion of compatibility. We show that the compatibility of $(

Improved Outcomes for Older Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults With Neuroblastoma in the Post‐Immunotherapy Era: An Updated Report From the International Neuroblastoma Risk Group

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background We describe clinical and biologic characteristics of neuroblastoma in older children, adolescents, and young adults (OCAYA); describe survival outcomes in the post‐immunotherapy era; and identify if there is an age cut‐off that best discriminates outcomes.

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

Different Types of Conditional Expectation and the Lueders - von Neumann Quantum Measurement

open access: yes, 2010
In operator algebra theory, a conditional expectation is usually assumed to be a projection map onto a sub-algebra. In the paper, a further type of conditional expectation and an extension of the Lueders - von Neumann measurement to observables with ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
