Projectively stable artin algebras: representation theory and quivers with relations

Communications in Algebra, 1999
A left artinian ring Λ is projectively stable if no non-zero morphism f: M → N of finitely generated left Λ-modules M,N having no non-zero projective direct summands factors through a projective mo...

Weakly associative relation algebras with projections

Mathematical Logic Quarterly, 2009
AbstractBuilt on the foundations laid by Peirce, Schröder, and others in the 19th century, the modern development of relation algebras started with the work of Tarski and his colleagues [21, 22]. They showed that relation algebras can capture strong first‐order theories like ZFC, and so their equational theory is undecidable.

Connections between quasi-projective relation algebras and cylindric algebras

Algebra universalis, 2007
In this paper we show that every quasi-projective relation algebra (QRA) has within it cylindric algebras (CAs) of all finite dimensions greater than two such that (i) they are term-definable in the QRA, (ii) they have a relation algebraic reduct that is isomorphic to the QRA and (iii) these isomorphisms are also term-definable.

On Irreducible Representation of a Class of Algebras and Related Projective Representations

Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1966
The number and the dimensions of irreducible representations of a general class of algebras occurring in the projective representations of finite groups have been determined. The Lie subalgebras have been found, and the isomorphism between the quantum-mechanical ray representations of finite groups and the fundamental representations of Lie algebras is

A defect relation for meromorphic maps on generalized p-parabolic manifolds intersecting hypersurfaces in complex projective algebraic varieties

Proceedings of the Edinburgh Mathematical Society, 2013
AbstractWe establish a defect relation for algebraically non-degenerate meromorphic maps over generalized p-parabolic manifolds that intersect hypersurfaces in smooth projective algebraic varieties, extending certain results of H. Cartan, L. Ahlfors, W. Stoll, M. Ru, P. M. Wong and Philip P. W. Wong and others.

Complexity of equational theory of relational algebras with projection elements

Summary: In connection with a problem of L. Henkin and J. D. Monk we show that the variety generated by TPA's --- relation algebras (RA's) expanded with concrete set theoretical projection functions --- and the first-order theory of the class TPA are not axiomatizable by any decidable set of axioms.
