Projective resolutions over Artin algebras with zero relations
One proves that gl.dim \(A\leq n+1\) for finite dimensional algebras over a field K whose ordinary quiver is a tree and a minimal set of relations has cardinality n. Using covering techniques one shows also that, for a finite dimensional zero relations K-algebra B with m minimal relations, \(gl.\dim B=\infty\) or \(gl.\dim B\leq m^ 2+2.\)

Heuristic and Cost-based Optimization for Diverse Provenance Tasks
A well-established technique for capturing database provenance as annotations on data is to instrument queries to propagate such annotations. However, even sophisticated query optimizers often fail to produce efficient execution plans for instrumented ...

Deformation of the Okubic Albert algebra and its relation to the Okubic affine and projective planes
We present a deformation of the Okubic Albert algebra introduced by Elduque whose rank-1 idempotent elements are in biunivocal correspondence with points of the Okubic projective plane, thus extending to Okubic algebras the correspondence found by Jordan, Von Neumann, Wigner between the octonionic projective plane and the rank-3 Exceptional Jordan ...

Young people's occupational aspirations beyond the aspiration discourse: A sociocultural perspective
Abstract Young people's aspirations have been the focus of many educational, sociological and psychological studies. This paper argues, firstly, that the concept of aspirations holds greater generative potential than suggested by the policy‐oriented ‘aspiration discourse’.

Galois theory for semiclones [PDF]
We present a Galois theory connecting finitary operations with pairs of finitary relations one of which is contained in the other. The Galois closed sets on both sides are characterised as locally closed subuniverses of the full iterative function ...

ABSTRACT Sustainability‐oriented collaborations are inter‐organisational arrangements where the competencies of multiple companies are pooled together to tackle environmental challenges. These collaborations differ from traditional strategic alliances in that they tackle complex goals amidst greater uncertainties that extend beyond economic performance,

Abstract This study explored how lecturers in a post‐92 UK university conceptualise and enact decolonial curriculum principles within their teaching and programme design. Drawing on semi‐structured interviews with academic staff across multiple disciplines, the research adopts a qualitative, phenomenologically informed approach to examine the interplay

On Defining SPARQL with Boolean Tensor Algebra [PDF]
The Resource Description Framework (RDF) represents information as subject-predicate-object triples. These triples are commonly interpreted as a directed labelled graph. We propose an alternative approach, interpreting the data as a 3-way Boolean tensor.

Abstract Background Conceptual and procedural knowledge are two distinct types of mathematical knowledge. Measuring them with sufficient discriminant validity is challenging because they are typically highly correlated. Prior studies have demonstrated discriminant validity of paper‐and‐pencil measures separately for fractions and algebra.
