Fubini-Study metrics and Levi-Civita connections on quantum projective spaces [PDF]
We introduce analogues of the Fubini-Study metrics and the corresponding Levi-Civita connections on quantum projective spaces. We define the quantum metrics as two-tensors, symmetric in the appropriate sense, in terms of the differential calculi ...

Examples of Thomas-Whitehead projective connections [PDF]
Projective connections on a manifold can be represented by Thomas-Whitehead (TW) connections which are just linear connections on a natural R-bundle over the manifold satisfying certain special properties.

The projective connections of T.Y. Thomas and J.H.C. Whitehead applied to invariant connections [PDF]
The purpose of this paper is to define a Thomas-Whitehead projective connection and apply it to the study of invariant connections. If G is a Lie group acting on a manifold M of dimension ⩾ 2 and M admits a G-invariant torsionfree linear connection, it ...

Neighbor‐connected graphs and projective planes
Networks, 1987AbstractIn [G. Gunther, Neighbor‐connectivity in regular graphs. Discrete Appl. Math. 11 (1985) 233–243] Gunther introduced the concept of a k neighbor‐connected graph, which has the property that the removal of any k − 1 closed neighborhoods neither disconnects the graph, nor leaves only a complete graph.

Project Connect — a planning consortium sponsored by the City of Austin, Capital Metro, the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization, and Lone Star Rail — proposes to build a 9.5-mile, high-capacity transit line in Austin from East Riverside & Grove to Austin Community College’s Highland campus. Transit vehicles would follow a dedicated guideway

Barring the odd beast and monk, just about everyone is connected these days - at most by 6 degrees of interpersonal connection and often by less (Milgram, 1967; Kochen, 1989; Watts, 2003). Yet only a tiny fraction of those who are connected ever interact in any meaningful way as friends, relatives, neighbours, workmates, and acquaintances.
