Sphere and projective space of a C*-algebra with a faithful state
Let š be a unital C*-algebra with a faithful state Ļ. We study the geometry of the unit sphere šĻ = {x ā š : Ļ(x*x) = 1} and the projective space āĻ = šĻ/š.

Projectable Lie algebras of vector fields in 3D [PDF]
Starting with Lie's classification of finite-dimensional transitive Lie algebras of vector fields on $\mathbb C^2$ we construct Lie algebras of vector fields on the bundle $\mathbb C^2 \times \mathbb C$ by lifting the Lie algebras from the base. There are essentially three types of transitive lifts and we compute all of them for the Lie algebras from ...

Rational homotopy type and nilpotency of mapping spaces between Quaternionic projective spaces
The rational homotopy type of a mapping space is a way to describe the structure of the space using the algebra of its homotopy groups and the differential graded algebra of its cochains.

Applications of Mutations in the Derived Categories of Weighted Projective Lines to Lie and Quantum Algebras [PDF]
Abstract Let $\textrm{coh}\ \mathbb{X}$ be the category of coherent sheaves over a weighted projective line $\mathbb{X}$ and let $D^b(\textrm{coh}\ \mathbb{X})$ be its bounded derived category. The present paper focuses on the study of the right and left mutation functors arising in $D^b(\textrm{coh}\ \mathbb{X})$ attached to certain ...

This work presents a stateāadaptive Koopman linear quadratic regulator framework for realātime manipulation of a deformable swab tool in robotic environmental sampling. By combining Koopman linearization, tactile sensing, and centroidābased force regulation, the system maintains stable contact forces and high coverage across flat and inclined surfaces.

Traction Force Microscopy for Viscoelastic Substrates: A SemiāAnalytical Method
A semiāanalytical viscoelastic traction force microscopy framework is introduced for quantifying timeāresolved cell tractions on flat finiteāthickness substrates. The method generalizes elastic traction force microscopy to Generalized Maxwell materials, identifies when elastic approximations remain valid and, when they do not, shows that inferred ...

Orthogonal projection onto the free Lie algebra
Let \(X\) be an alphabet and \(k\) be a field of characteristic zero. Denote by \(M(X)\), \(L(X)\) and \(A(X)\), respectively, the free monoid, the free Lie algebra and the free associative algebra over \(X\). The author answers a question of Garsia regarding the form of the projection which is orthogonal for the only bilinear form \((\cdot|\cdot)_x ...

UltraāWideāField Noninvasive Imaging Through Scattering Media Via PhysicsāGuided Deep Learning
We propose a physicsāguided adaptive dualādomain learning method for ultraāwideāfield noninvasive imaging through scattering media, namely UNIāNet. Our method not only reduces the requirement for real experimental data by an order of magnitude but also enables clear imaging of complex scenes with an ultraālarge field of view, which is 164 times the OME

A note on the restricted universal enveloping algebra of a restricted Lie-Rinehart Algebra
International audienceLie-Rinehart algebras, also known as Lie algebroids, give rise to Hopf algebroids by a universal enveloping algebra construction, much as the universal enveloping algebra of an ordinary Lie algebra gives a Hopf algebra, of infinite ...
