Fake weighted projective spaces [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2008
We define fake weighted projective spaces as a generalisation of weighted projective spaces. We introduce the notions of fundamental group in codimension 1 and of universal covering in codimension 1. We prove that for every fake weighted projective space its universal cover in codimension 1 is a weighted projective space.

Pharmacological effects of osimertinib on a chicken chorioallantoic membrane xenograft model with the EGFR exon‐19‐deleted advanced NSCLC mutation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Osimertinib reduces angiogenesis and PDL1 expression in in ovo tumors, transforming them into ‘cold tumors’ with lower immune activity. Anatomopathological and transcriptomic analyses highlight its therapeutic impact on tumor biology. This study underscores osimertinib's potential to reshape the tumor microenvironment and provides insights into its ...

Fuzzy collineations of 3-dimensional fuzzy projective space from 4-dimensional fuzzy vector space

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
In this paper, the fuzzy counterparts of the collineations defined in classical projective spaces are defined in a 3-dimensional fuzzy projective space derived from a 4-dimensional fuzzy vector space. The properties of fuzzy projective space $ (\lambda, \

Finite Geometric Spaces, Steiner Systems and Cooperative Games

open access: yesAnalele Stiintifice ale Universitatii Ovidius Constanta: Seria Matematica, 2014
Some relations between finite geometric spaces and cooperative games are considered. The games associated to Steiner systems, in particular projective and affine planes, are considered. The properties of winning and blocking coalitions are investigated.

Classification of toric projective varieties up to projective automorphisms [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
Toric subvarieties of projective space are classified up to projective automorphisms.

Identification of inhibitors of the Salmonella FraB deglycase, a drug target

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
A high‐throughput screen was used to identify inhibitors of Salmonella FraB, a drug target. Characterization of top hits (identified after an additional counter screen) revealed that some triazolidines, thiadiazolidines, and triazolothiadiazoles are mixed‐type inhibitors of FraB.

Maps into projective spaces: Liquid crystal and conformal energies

open access: yes, 2011
Variational problems for the liquid crystal energy of mappings from three-dimensional domains into the real projective plane are studied. More generally, we study the dipole problem, the relaxed energy, and density properties concerning the conformal $

Mapping Hsp104 interactions using cross‐linking mass spectrometry

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This study examines how cross‐linking mass spectrometry can be utilized to analyze ATP‐induced conformational changes in Hsp104 and its interactions with substrates. We developed an analytical pipeline to distinguish between intra‐ and inter‐subunit contacts within the hexameric homo‐oligomer and discovered contacts between Hsp104 and a selected ...

Linear spaces: history and theory

open access: yesLe Matematiche, 1990
Linear spaces belong to the most fundamental geometric and combinatorial structures. In this paper I would like to give an onerview about the theory of embedding finite linear spaces in finite projective planes.

Alkane biosynthesis gene expression and its increased production in recombinant cyanobacteria

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The transcription and mRNA structures of the alkane biosynthesis genes ado/aar were analysed in the representative cyanobacteria PCC 6803 and SK1‐2‐1, which produce C17H36 and C15H32, respectively. PCC 6803 transconjugants carrying these genes showed a 1.8‐ to 2.3‐fold increase in C17H36 production.
