Unraveling the metastasis‐preventing effect of miR‐200c in vitro and in vivo

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Advanced tumors and ineffective cancer treatments can lead to metastases in distant organs. The sole expression of microRNA 200c (miR‐200c) in breast cancer cells is shown to significantly reduce metastasis formation in xenograft mouse models. Various in vitro analyses revealed impeded migratory behavior, upon miR‐200c expression, as one prerequisite ...

Special Geometric Objects in Generalized Riemannian Spaces

open access: yesAxioms
In this paper, we obtained the geometrical objects that are common in different definitions of the generalized Riemannian spaces. These objects are analogies to the Thomas projective parameter and the Weyl projective tensor.

Curves in low dimensional projective spaces with the lowest ranks

open access: yesCubo, 2020
Let $X\subset \PP^r$ be an integral and non-degenerate curve. For each $q\in \PP^r$ the $X$-rank $r_X(q)$ of $q$ is the minimal number of points of $X$ spanning $q$. A general point of $\PP^r$ has $X$-rank $\lceil (r+1)/2\rceil$. For $r=3$ (resp.

Projective tensor product of protoquantum spaces

open access: yes, 2017
A proto-quantum space is a (general) matricially normed space in the sense of Effros and Ruan presented in a `matrix-free' language. We show that these spaces have a special (projective) tensor product possessing the universal property with respect to ...

Combined spatially resolved metabolomics and spatial transcriptomics reveal the mechanism of RACK1‐mediated fatty acid synthesis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The authors analyzed the spatial distributions of gene and metabolite profiles in cervical cancer through spatial transcriptomic and spatially resolved metabolomic techniques. Pivotal genes and metabolites within these cases were then identified and validated.

Vertical inhibition of p110α/AKT and N‐cadherin enhances treatment efficacy in PIK3CA‐aberrated ovarian cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PIK3CA amplification and PIK3CA mutation enhance ovarian tumorigenicity through an activation of AKT, which phosphorylates YAP at Ser127. This Ser127 phosphorylation leads to the retention of YAP in the cytoplasm and triggers RAC1 activity, promoting cell migration. Additionally, AKT activation increases expression of N‐cadherin, which further enhances

Spaces of Lorentzian and real stable polynomials are Euclidean balls

open access: yesForum of Mathematics, Sigma, 2021
We prove that projective spaces of Lorentzian and real stable polynomials are homeomorphic to Euclidean balls. This solves a conjecture of June Huh and the author.

Unraveling epigenetic heterogeneity across gastrointestinal adenocarcinomas through a standardized analytical framework

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that patients with gastrointestinal adenocarcinomas can be stratified into six distinct subtypes based on genome‐scale DNA methylation profiling. This stratification, achieved using a robust analytical framework, aligns with established tumor characteristics and holds potential to support prognostication.

SKA1 promotes oncogenic properties in oral dysplasia and oral squamous cell carcinoma, and augments resistance to radiotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The mitosis‐related gene SKA1 was among 629 genes consistently dysregulated in OSCC across nine public gene expression datasets. In OSCC cell lines, SKA1 promoted proliferation and migration, enhanced radioresistance, and reduced radiation‐induced senescence.

SOME FEATURES OF PAIRWISE α-R0 SPACES IN SUPRA FUZZY BITOPOLOGY [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mechanics of Continua and Mathematical Sciences
This paper introduces and studies four concepts of 𝑅0 supra fuzzy bitopological spaces. We have exhibited that all these four concepts are ‘good extensions’ of the corresponding concepts 𝑅0 bitopological spaces and building relationships among them.
