Are camera, projector, and camera–projector calibrations different?

Applied Optics, 2023
Structured light projection systems have become a referent in three-dimensional optical metrology. Calibration of the cameras and projectors of these systems is one of the most critical procedures to achieve high-accuracy measurements. However, the calibration process requires some clarifications for adequate experimental implementation.

The modal projector

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2011
The superposition of acoustical modes radiated from a transducer can provide directionality from a compact projector. This paper presents the foundation, as well as examples, of piezoelectric ceramic, piezoelectric single crystal, and magnetostrictive versions of this “modal projector.” Measured and analytical, as well as finite element analysis ...

Projectors for graphics

ACM SIGGRAPH 2008 classes, 2008
Modern digital projectors are a central part of large-format displays, non-intrusive augmented reality systems and computational illumination for 3D image-based modeling. High speed and high framerate projectors also support intriguing applications in optical communication.

Solar projector

ACM SIGGRAPH 2018 Posters, 2018
The sun is the most universal, powerful and familiar energy available on the planet. Every organism and plant has evolved over the years, corresponding to the energy brought by the sun. Humanity is no exception. We have invented many artificial lights since Edison invented light bulbs.

On-mouse projector

Proceedings of the 16th International Conference on Mobile and Ubiquitous Multimedia, 2017
In this paper, we propose a system that combines a mouse with a projector and that allows users to perform peephole interaction, which enables stable operation in a wide workspace. In our prototype system, a mobile projector is attached above a mouse and projects part of the workspace on the plane in front of the mouse.

The projector as instrument

Personal and Ubiquitous Computing, 2011
The projects presented in this paper address two issues. The first issue is about the act of interactivism of liberating the projector, and the subsequent design considerations of taking a certain technology out of its intended context, and the issue of breaking out of the `frame'.

On-mouse projector

Proceedings of the 18th International Conference on Human-Computer Interaction with Mobile Devices and Services Adjunct, 2016
In this paper, we propose On-mouse projector, an interface that combines a mouse and a mobile projector. This system satisfies both portability and large information space and enables stable operation. The mobile projector is placed on the mouse and projects images on a surface in front of the mouse.

On recursive oblique projectors

IEEE Signal Processing Letters, 2005
This letter proposes a recursive oblique projector. To understand better the recursive oblique projector, we provide a geometrical interpretation of recursive computation and present a brief numerical example.
