A Simple and Convenient Set-Up of Light Addressable Potentiometric Sensors (LAPS) for Chemical Imaging Using a Commercially Available Projector as a Light Source

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2013
Light addressable potentiometric sensors (LAPS) are important semiconductor based label free sensing tools that are useful for visualizing the 2-D distribution of chemical species because of their light addressing capability at measurement sites. However,

Projective Modules of Finite Type and Monopoles over $S^2$

open access: yes, 1999
We give a unifying description of all inequivalent vector bundles over the 2-dimensional sphere $S^2$ by constructing suitable global projectors $p$ via equivariant maps.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Anisotropic Projector [PDF]

open access: yesReview of Scientific Instruments, 1956
An optical projector having different magnifications, 5× and 50×, in two rectangular directions is described. Although the device is designed principally for rapid measurement of cloud-chamber track curvatures, it has been applied to various situations in which plane-to-plane imaging at constant magnification is desired. Simple plano-convex cylindrical

Crosstalk between the ribosome quality control‐associated E3 ubiquitin ligases LTN1 and RNF10

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of the E3 ligase LTN1, the ubiquitin‐like modifier UFM1, or the deubiquitinating enzyme UFSP2 disrupts endoplasmic reticulum–ribosome quality control (ER‐RQC), a pathway that removes stalled ribosomes and faulty proteins. This disruption may trigger a compensatory response to ER‐RQC defects, including increased expression of the E3 ligase RNF10 ...

Low cost optical multi-touch tables: projected versus LCD optical

open access: yesJournal of Computer Science and Technology, 2013
Based on our experience, in this paper we present the main aspects of two different approaches to implement low cost multi-touch tables: projection based and LCD based. The former uses a video projector to build a feedback image on the surface of a multi-

Light Front Ensemble Projector Mont Carlo

open access: yes, 1993
A new method to perform numerical simulations of light-front Hamiltonians formulated on transverse lattices is introduced. The method is based on a DLCQ formulation for the (continuous) longitudinal directions.

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Study on Speckle Noise Reduction in Laser Projection Displays

open access: yesPhotonics
Laser speckle has a negative effect on laser projectors, so reducing laser speckle is crucial for the development of laser projector displays. We primarily focus on studying the laser speckle contrast of laser projector displays and the mechanism for ...
