Hand-projector Self-calibration Using Structured Light
This paper describes two methods for determining the extrinsic calibration parameters of a projector with respect to the robot hand. One of them simultaneously solves the transformation between a camera with respect to the robot base. Self-calibration means that no sort of calibration rig like a chessboard is needed.

Influence of an Argon/Silane Atmosphere on the Temperature of a Thermal Plasma
The influence of a silane‐doped argon atmosphere on the chemical composition and temperature of a thermal nontransferring argon plasma is investigated using optical emission spectroscopy. As a result of the high amount of free electrons resulting from the stepwise ionization and dissociation of the silane molecule, even a silane addition of 0.01 vol ...

A software framework for the development of projection-based augmented reality systems [PDF]
Despite the large amount of methods and applications of augmented reality, there is little homogenization on the software platforms that support them. An exception may be the low level control software that is provided by some high profile vendors such ...

The Color Calibration across Multi-Projector Display
Large plane displays are often achieved by combining tiled imaging elements, which give the appearance of a single, seamless display. However, this is difficult to realize in practical use, since differences in color will make the tiles dis-tinct even if the geometric calibration is perfect.

Nanoindentation Criteria for Combinatorial Thin Film Libraries
Thin‐film material libraries are compositional spreads used for screening composition‐structure‐property relationships. Nanoindentation is often used to characterize mechanical behavior across these systems, however variations in methodology are widespread.

3D‐Printed Giant Magnetoresistive (GMR) Sensors Based on Self Compliant Springs
This work explores 3D‐printed GMR sensors utilizing self‐compliant spring structures and conductive PLA composites. By optimizing arm width, we achieved high piezoresistive (0.34%/mm) and magnetoresistive (0.77%/mT) sensitivities. Demonstrated through Bluetooth‐integrated pressure and magnetic position sensing, these full printed low‐cost, customizable

A combined finite element and phase‐field approach predicts the evolution of microstructure during the directional solidification of Ni‐based superalloys. The model reveals how withdrawal rate, temperature gradient, and wall thickness control the dendrite spacing, highlighting the strong effect of surface regions in thin sections where dendrite growth ...

Fast 3D reconstruction with single shot technology : engineering and computing challenges [PDF]
Fast 3D reconstruction with single shot technology: the GMPR 3D scanning technologies provide fast wide area scanning from an instantaneous shot. A surface can be reconstructed in 40 milliseconds from a pattern of stripes projected on the target object ...
