Perpetual Futures Pricing

open access: yesMathematical Finance, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Perpetual futures are contracts without expiration date in which the anchoring of the futures price to the spot price is ensured by periodic funding payments from long to short. We derive explicit expressions for the no‐arbitrage price of various perpetual contracts, including linear, inverse, and quantos futures in both discrete and ...

A randomized, double‐blinded, placebo‐controlled study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of venlafaxine extended release in Japanese patients with generalized anxiety disorder

open access: yesPsychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences, EarlyView.
Aim The current study investigated the superiority of anxiolytic effects of venlafaxine extended release (ER) compared with placebo and its safety and tolerability in Japanese adult outpatients with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). Methods In this placebo‐controlled, double‐blind study, 357 eligible participants were randomized to receive ...

Herbaceous plant communities respond more to seasonal precipitation than cumulative drought in the hot deserts of the United States

open access: yesPlant Biology, EarlyView.
Using a 4‐year drought experiment in the hot deserts of the US, we found that herbaceous plant communities were more sensitive to seasonal precipitation than to the cumulative effects of drought. Abstract The hot deserts of the southwestern United States are experiencing increased frequency, severity, and duration of drought due to anthropogenic ...

Antibiotic‐mediated immune modulation in periodontitis

open access: yesPeriodontology 2000, EarlyView.
Abstract Periodontitis is a chronic inflammatory disease affecting the supporting structures of the teeth. Although initiated by dysbiotic microbial communities, its progression is largely driven by the host's uncontrolled inflammatory response. While antibiotics have conventionally been employed in periodontitis therapy for their antimicrobial ...

Inhibitory effect of oestradiol on the cardiac KV7.1/KCNE1 channel is species dependent

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract Oestradiol (17β‐E2) is reported to prolong the cardiac action potential duration and QT interval, in part by affecting cardiac ion channels. Previous studies found inhibiting 17β‐E2 effects on the repolarizating cardiac KV7.1/KCNE1 channel, or its native current, in heterologous expression systems or tissue from animal species.
