Extension of DFM and MORPH in representative directions to viscous effects via Prony series approach [PDF]

open access: yesPAMM, 2016
AbstractIn this paper we present an extension of the material models DFM and MORPH formulated in representative directions via an approach for viscohyperelasticity based on a Prony series resp. integral approach. (© 2016 Wiley‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)

Thermal Stress in Multilayered Flexible Solar Cell Circuit With Different Temperatures

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 4, April 2026.
This study employs a coupled thermal‐mechanical analysis approach to simulate the deformation behavior of flexible thin‐film solar cell circuits under varying temperature conditions. Stress analysis demonstrates a significant temperature‐induced stress redistribution. Copper bears the maximum thermal stress under low‐temperature conditions.

Hyperviscous Diabetic Bone Marrow Niche Impairs BMSCs Osteogenesis via TRPV2‐Mediated Cytoskeletal‐Nuclear Mechanotransduction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 13, 3 March 2026.
Diabetic bone marrow exhibits pathological ECM hyperviscosity that activates TRPV2‐mediated Ca2⁺ influx, leading to perinuclear F‐actin disassembly, nuclear deformation, and chromatin condensation. This cytoskeletal‐nuclear decoupling suppresses osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs.

Complete Algebraic Reconstruction of Piecewise-Smooth Functions from Fourier Data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper we provide a reconstruction algorithm for piecewise-smooth functions with a-priori known smoothness and number of discontinuities, from their Fourier coefficients, posessing the maximal possible asymptotic rate of convergence -- including ...

On the Numerical Determination of Relaxation and Retardation Spectra for Linearly Viscoelastic Materials [PDF]

open access: yes, 1967
Knowledge of the relaxation spectrum is important because (1) it provides an intrinsic characterization of the mechanical properties for linearly viscoelastic materials and (2) it offers a rational way to derive the coefficients for a Prony or Dirichlet ...

A Standardized Framework for Elastomer Characterization in Soft Robotics

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 8, Issue 3, March 2026.
A unified framework addresses inconsistent elastomer property reporting which limits reproducibility and standardization in soft robotics. Systematic testing of ten elastomers (thermosetting, thermoplastic, and a covalent adaptable network) provides quasielastic mechanical properties, viscoelastic parameters, thermal stability, and processing ...

Decimated generalized Prony systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We continue studying robustness of solving algebraic systems of Prony type (also known as the exponential fitting systems), which appear prominently in many areas of mathematics, in particular modern "sub-Nyquist" sampling theories.

Wavelet-Based High-Order Adaptive Modeling of Lossy Interconnects [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
—This paper presents a numerical-modeling strategy for simulation of fast transients in lossy electrical interconnects. The proposed algorithm makes use of wavelet representations of voltages and currents along the structure, with the aim of reducing the

Characterization of Ovine Intervertebral Disc Health Across the Lifespan: Relationships Between Quantitative MRI, Radiological, Histological, Biochemical, and Biomechanical Assessments

open access: yesJOR SPINE, Volume 9, Issue 1, March 2026.
Quantitative MRI reveals age‐related degeneration of lumbar intervertebral discs. Axial T2 and T2* relaxation time maps from representative young (15‐month) and old (130‐month) sheep demonstrate substantially higher relaxation times in young discs, particularly within the nucleus pulposus, indicating a well‐hydrated and proteoglycan‐rich matrix.
