Electromagnetic waves in a wormhole geometry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
We investigate the propagation of electromagnetic waves through a static wormhole. It is shown that the problem can be reduced to a one-dimensional Schr\"odinger-like equation with a barrier-type potential.

Light Propagation in Nonlinear Waveguide and Classical Two-Dimensional Oscillator [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
The quantum optical problem of the propagation of electromagnetic waves in a nonlinear waveguide is related to the solutions of the classical nonstationary harmonic oscillator using the method of linear integrals of motion [ Malkin et.al., Phys Rev.

On the Problem of Electromagnetic Waves Propagating along a Nonlinear Inhomogeneous Cylindrical Waveguide

open access: yesISRN Mathematical Physics, 2013
Electromagnetic TE wave propagation in an inhomogeneous nonlinear cylindrical waveguide is considered. The permittivity inside the waveguide is described by the Kerr law. Inhomogeneity of the waveguide is modeled by a nonconstant term in the Kerr law.

Propagation and filtering of elastic and electromagnetic waves in piezoelectric composite structures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In this article we discuss the modelling of elastic and electromagnetic wave propagation through one- and two-dimensional structured piezoelectric solids. Dispersion and the effect of piezoelectricity on the group velocity and positions of stop bands are

Experimental observations of communication in blackout, topological waveguiding and Dirac zero-index property in plasma sheath

open access: yesNanophotonics, 2023
The plasma sheath causes the spacecraft’s communication signal to attenuate dramatically during the re-entry period, which seriously threatens the astronauts. However, valid experimental protocols have not been obtained hitherto.

The propagation of the TM-wave in a flat semi-open dielectric layer with nonlocal nonlinearity

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений. Поволжский регион: Физико-математические науки, 2023
Background. The article considers the problem of propagation of electromagnetic waves in a dielectric layer filled with a medium whose permittivity is characterized by the integral form of the Kerr law.

General Metasurface Synthesis Based on Susceptibility Tensors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
A general method, based on susceptibility tensors, is proposed for the synthesis of metasurfaces transforming arbitrary incident waves into arbitrary reflected and transmitted waves.
